Not every show should have a disco ball. Some should though.
Well, the MAKING TIME SUMMER OF RADNESS FINALE featuring Sleigh Bells and LCD Soundsystem took place on friday night, and given that I was there, I feel obligated to share with you all the good, the bad and the awesome moments that took place.

What’s really hood people? Sorry there’s been a lack of updates this week, been busy with school, working like a dog for Philly Weekly. Not really, that gig’s been chill, had to do a bit of a flyer safari today which would’ve been better if it wasn’t so hot, but all in all enjoyed it. I rarely ever go down to South Street because everyone always wants to go in the Spring and Summer when it’s filled with assholes. South Street on a weekday in the Fall is perfect.
Now, let’s get to some new music, shall we?

Been a while hasn’t it? Sorry we’ve been slacking. Can’t speak for Trev and Lars, since I’ve got no clue what they’re occupying their times with, but me, I’ve been sort of busy. Started up that internship at Philadelphia Weekly, it’s going amazingly. Been reading some comics. Bought Daria the complete collection so I’ve been working my way through that (and it really is fucking fantastic. I was not able to appreciate this show as a child the way I can now.)
But I’m back now because I love you all. Time for some Dubstep.

Denied: Fishtown residents put the kibosh on Grasso’s proposed venue
Fishtown residents voted 57 to 38 against the venue. Seems like they’re mostly afraid of what drunk concert goers will do to their properties after the show, which I have to say is a somewhat legitimate concern, but I fail to see how drunken college students and kids from the burbs going to shows will be any more dangerous than all the drunks that already roam Fishtown.
